Pearls are upcycled.

Pearl always represents healing and protection. It is created from a defense mechanism within the mollusk body, surrounding an irritant with Pearl. Pearl uses all her energy, beauty and strength to make the most of a difficult situation. She’s an all around great companion for joy, resilience, inner beauty, love, and spiritual connection.

Jingle Shells are very delicate, transparent and full of mother of pearl sheen. They can have the association of “ephemerality”. They are also known as “mermaids toenails,” and in association with mermaid lore have properties aiding in luck, changeability, magic, and transitions.

Then, we have the iconic Scallop for which multiple Greek, Mayan and Aztec goddesses are associated.

Scallops were also associated with medieval pilgrimage, spiritual journeying and travel.

The sea is full of symbols.
